says Donnie, after seeing them play to a crowd of more than a thousand at the Skowhegan State fair.

"They are seasoned, entertaining performers, and I bought a CD and a T-shirt"

said Donnie's wife Loretta.

What sets the group apart from many regional acts, is that they are songwriters who are always writing and recording, a talent that allows them to create their own sound and style, not just copy someone elses. They come to every show with one desire, to play their songs and to please the crowd. Alright, that's two desires. They also like to make new friends but what is most important, is that the crowds can feel the chemistry between the three musicians who make up the group.

Craig Stutzman writes most of the songs, sings lead, plays bass and acoustic guitar. Michael Alan Garland is an award winning guitarist who also writes ,sings, engineers the sound, trouble shoots all manner of problems, plays almost every instrument and is the biggest reason the band is so polished. Mike Topich is much more than a drummer. He brings years of experience in Progressive Rock and Jazz Music to the band and is also the MIDI & recordng technical guru.

When the crowd is pumped and into what The Honkytonkers are about, something magical happens. All it takes is one show and chances are you'll have a new favorite band. Being a "Power Trio" has not only given them a unique sound, it also makes them more affordable than many five and six piece bands.
